The National Parks Conservation Association considers itself the voice of the National parks outside of the government. Established in 1919, 3 years after the National park Service, the NPCA tries to bring about change for the better for the National parks.
Another fun website that teaches you about the National Parks is http://www.nps.gov/webrangers This website allows kids to experience being a ranger right on their computer. Create a username and gain patches and even create your own Ranger Station.
